The KFRF podcast series “The First Line of Defense: Primary Care Clinicians and Early Detection of Pancreatic Cancer” was featured in a blog post on the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network website. The podcast is directed towards primary care clinicians, who are most often the “gatekeepers” of the disease to increase awareness of the risk factors and early symptoms. The four-part series covers the subtle symptoms, the importance of family history and genetic testing, the relationship between diabetes and pancreatic cancer, and the tools being developed to detect pancreatic cancer earlier.
